Sales Policies and Pricing
Sales Policy
Payment Accepted
We accept Cash, CashApp, PayPal friends and family, or Venmo. Anything other than these methods are not accepted.
Reservations
We do not take reservations. If you express interest, we will maintain an interest list and contact you once the kids are born. Otherwise, all kids will be posted on our website once they are available for sale.
Deposits
If you are not able to pick an animal up within 2 days of sales agreement, a 25% deposit is required. Animals are reserved on a first come, first served basis. The remaining 75% is due upon pickup. Animals will not be held without a deposit. Holds for longer than a week require a 50% deposit with the remaining 50% due upon pickup. Deposits are non-refundable, unless something happens to the animal while in our care. In that scenario, deposit will be refunded.
Pickup Schedule
All of our goats are dam raised with the occasional bottle. Doelings are weaned at 12 weeks old. Bucklings are weaned at 10 weeks old. If a kid is reserved early enough, they can go as a bottle baby or wait until weaning. If you do not pickup your animal within 1 week of the agreed upon date, you will forfeit your deposit and the animal will go back up for sale.
Retention of Animals
We have the right to retain ANY animal that is born on our property, no matter your reservation or requests. We also have the right to refuse to sell to you at our discretion.
Transportation
All transportation is the responsibility of the buyer. We do not meet in another location unless our family is already going to a locale (i.e. a show, buying goats from another farm)
Disubudding
All kids will be disbudded (unless they are polled). No exceptions.
Health and Care
Kids will have been on coccidia prevention and will have been vaccinated with at least one CD&T, depending upon the age the kid is picked up.
Adult goats will be have on our care and management regimen, which include
Registration
All kids will be registered with ADGA or come with ADGA application paperwork.
Adult goats will all be registered with ADGA. We are working on getting all of our adult goats dual-registered with both registries.
Registration with AGS can be done upon request.
Health and Care
Our animals will be healthy when they leave our farm. Once they have left our property, there are no guarantees. We will not sell you an animal that is observed to be unhealthy and will cancel a sale and refund the deposit if that is the case. There will be no refunds or replacement if something happens to the animal after it leaves our property. We take great pride in ensuring our goats are healthy and managed well.
CVI's (health certificates) are also the responsibility of the buyer. They can be requested, but must be paid for by you, the buyer. An additional charge of $50 per goat will be assessed for health papers. We need at least a 2 week warning to schedule the vet visit if health papers are needed (typically when crossing state lines).
Not every animal is tested every year for CAE, CL, or Johnnes. We test a representative sample of the herd each year. Testing of a specific adult animal can be done at the buyer’s request after deposit is placed. If an undesirable result occurs, deposit will be refunded.
Kid Pricing
Kids are priced primarily based on the success of the dam in performance programs outlined on the adjacent chart. Does with exceptional records or special breedings may be priced higher than what is listed. We breed both for conformation/show performance and milk production, as it is our firm belief that a beautifully built animal with a beautiful mammary system will fill the bucket as well. We not only love a gorgeous animal, we need them to be a productive member of the family as well.
Doe Pricing
We let go of adult does from time to time. It’s never because there is something “wrong” with them, just that they don’t fit into our breeding program or they might be better suited for a different situation. Our version of “cull” is not for inferiority, but rather so that these does can thrive in another setting.
